Getting Started with Flatten Module

This tutorial demonstrates use of the Flatten experimental module to create interactive contours by defining the unfolding surface while respecting the constraints of the module inputs.

This Xtra contains some tips and tricks for the Flatten experimental module so you can quickly and effectively start using the Flatten module.

The downloadable materials show you how to create interactive contours by defining the unfolding surface while respecting the constraints of the module inputs. The contours are manually defined on the classic chocolate-bar.am dataset on the boundaries between two "materials" with a mere pedagogical purpose.

The downloadable archive contains the following files:

  • Project files (hx) in different stages of this tutorial
  • A .pdf file documenting an interactive procedure to build contours
  • Videos showing the suggested manual contour creation procedure

An Experimental license is required to run the Flatten module.
