Automated Sizing of Large Area Nanoparticles

The recipe segments large area Pt-Rh nanoparticles at high resolution (TEM image).

front-2

The recipe segments large area Pt-Rh nanoparticles at high resolution. The equivalent diameter of the labeled particles can then be measured easily. This example demonstrates how to make use of an external python library in the recipe.

A Python script object accesses an OpenCV algorithm that applies a Laplacian of Gaussian to the reference to detect the "blobs". A marker is then defined per particle and the segmentation is performed with a marker-based watershed inside mask.
